Plant Room Engineer / Mechanical Maintenance

Salary: £40k - £48k PAYE (Depending on qualifications)

Are you looking for your next Mechanical Maintenance role? A successful contractor are seeking engineers to carry out general plant room maintenance works on one of their multiple social housing contracts.

The role:

Be responsible for the maintenance of all district heating assets, including plant rooms, boiler houses, pipework, pumps, boosters etc.
Assist in all areas of mechanical maintenance
Actioning repairs: either reporting back to the office or fixing there and then if possible (usually reported back as pumps, pressurisation units, motorised valves etc. need to be ordered)
Attending calls to boiler houses/plant rooms/booster rooms to investigate and amend issues
Install works such as pipework, valves, pumps etc
Ensuring compliance documents are always up to date on site, such as logbooks and LGSRs in boiler houses
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to correct standards and time frames
Carry out block shutdowns on district heating for individual works to be completed
Completing jobs correctly on the PDA (reports and pictures)
Isolate equipment before works carried out

Essential Criteria

NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing
Domestic or Commercial Gas qualifications OR 2+ years working within plant room environments

Full UK Driving License
Good written and verbal communication
Happy to be part of the call-out rota
